Golf clubs are made of composite materials, including titanium and iron, and can form rust, especially when the shafts are exposed to wet conditions. The rust typically can be removed, however, with few basic home supplies.
1. Wipe off the dirt and grime from the club using a microfiber towel.
2. Pour some of the vinegar onto the rusted surface of the iron. Lightly scrub off the rust from the surface with the toothbrush, adding more vinegar if necessary. Lightly rub a fine steel wool pad over the rusted surface if the toothbrush and vinegar doesn’t work.
3. Rinse off the iron with fresh water, then dry it off using a clean terrycloth towel. Apply the metal polish to the length of the iron with a microfiber towel, then wipe off the polish with another clean microfiber towel. The rust should be gone by this point.
