True Temper is one of golf’s leading steel shaft manufacturers. True Temper offers a multitude of shaft designs, with a standard butt diameter of 0.600 inches. True Temper also offers smaller shafts with a butt diameter of 0.580 inches.

Types

The True Temper Dynamic Gold Taper Tip 3-PW, Dynamic Gold Taper Tip Wedge and Dynalite shafts are available with a butt diameter of 0.580 inches.

These are smaller shafts designed for senior, lady or junior golfers. Smaller butt diameters usually result in a more flexible, higher-torque shaft.

Bend Point and Launch Angle

The bend point of a shaft is a measure of the shaft’s maximal point of flexion, and can influence the launch angle of the golf shot.

The Dynamic Gold Taper Tip 3-PW and Wedge shafts have high bend points and low launch angles, while the Dynalite shaft has a low bend point and high launch angle.

Length

Longer shafts produce more club head speed, but can reduce accuracy. The Dynamic Gold Taper Tip 3-PW and Wedge shafts have a length of 37 inches, while the Dynalite comes in a length of 41 inches. You can have shafts cut down to fit your height.

Tip Diameter

Similar to butt diameter, lower tip diameters are more flexible and have higher torques. Both the Dynamic Gold Taper Tip 3-PW and Wedge shafts have 0.355-inch tips that taper toward the club head. The Dynalite shaft has a 0.370-inch tip that does not taper toward the club head.
